Carl is a PhD candidate at the Department of Economics at UCL and CReAM. He holds an MSc in Economics from UCL as well as a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford. An applied microeconomist working on labour economics and the economics of education, his current research is focused on the role of firms in the wage setting process and job creation as well as the role of higher education in social mobility.
